Itinerary - Mass Games Mini Break 2

Thurs 30th Sept

AM: Bus from office to airport.
PM: Flight from Beijing to Pyongyang, meet your Korean guides who will accompany you during your stay. Arch of Triumph - similar to the French version (but bigger) - commemorates the liberation from Japanese rule, MASS GAMES in the May Day Stadium
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

Fri 1st Oct

AM: Mansudae Grand Monument – statue of DPRK founder Kim Il Sung, Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum (Korean War Museum) - hear and see the DPRK version of the conflict War Victory Monuments. Lunch in local restaurant.

PM: Juche Tower - 150m stone tower with lookout platform at the top and great panoramic views of the city, Pyongyang Metro - the deepest in the world, take a ride with the locals, boat trip to Mangyongdae Native House - birthplace of the DPRK founder Kim Il Sung, Pyongyang Metro – deepest in the world, Kim Il Sung Square –the centre of Pyongyang, Party Founding Monument – built to celebrate 40th anniversary of the rule of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Exhibition Centre, dinner in local restaurant
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

AM: Flight from Pyongyang – Beijing. End of tour

TOUR COST: EUR 790

VISA FEE: EUR 30 (to be paid at the pre-tour meeting)

PRE-TOUR MEETING: Wednesday 29th September, 4PM, at our office in Beijing

EXPECTED WEATHER:It will be hot and humid around this time with possible rain showers, around 20-25° C Raincoat/umbrella advised!

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Flight Beijing-Pyongyang
2. All meals on the tour
3. Hotel accommodation
4. All entry fees
5. Two guides and a driver per group
6. All transportation in DPRK
   
   

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE:

1. Single room supplement of EUR 30 per night
2. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
3. DPRK visa fee EUR 30
4. Tip for the guides (approx EUR 20-25 total)
5. Entry tickets for Mass Games and special events if applicable – for example Revolutionary Opera if being staged, or a visit to the funfair
6. The lift up the Juche Tower EUR 5
7. Meals will have a complimentary beer but you will have to pay for extra drinks above those provided. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements then please inform us beforehand
