Tue 24th July

 

AM: Bus from office to Airport
PM: Flight JS152 Beijing – Pyongyang, 13:00 departure from PEK Beijing International Airport (Terminal 2). Arrival to Pyongyang 16:25. Meet guides who will accompany you during your stay, Mansudae Grand Monument statue of DPRK President Kim Il Sung, Arch of Triumph – similar to the French version (but bigger)
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Wed 25th July

 

AM: Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum(Korean War Museum) - hear and see the DPRK version of the conflict War Victory Monuments, USS Pueblo - tour the American espionage ship captured in the 1968, Mangyongdae Native House - birthplace of the DPRK founder Kim Il Sung, Pyongyang Metro (extended ride) - the deepest in the world, take a ride with the locals

PM: Juche Tower - 150m stone tower with lookout platform at the

top and great panoramic views of the city, Monument to Party

Foundation - commemorates the 50 years of Worker's Party rule, Schoolchildren’s Palace tour and performance, Paradise Micro-brewery and bar, evening funfair trip

OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Thurs 26th July

 

AM: Kumsusan Memorial Palace - Mausoleumwhere President Kim Il Sung lies in state, Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery - bronze busts

of the Koreans who died fighting the Japanese occupation, Kim Il Sung Square - Pyongyang’s largest square in the heart of the city,

Mt. Ryonggak for picnic lunch and views over Pyongyang

PM: Grand People’s Study House, Golden Lane Bowling Centre  -

where Pyongyangers go for their ten-pin fix, also has some early

90s arcade games, Drive to Kaesong (2.5 hours) - A historical city near the DMZ which avoided being destroyed in the Korean War

Fri 27th July

 

AM: DPRK Holiday - Victory Day, visit the Panmunjom/DMZ

boundary between North and South Korea and the Koryo Museum - preserved Confucian museum in the old part of town, local park & pavilion

PM: Return to Pyongyang, Moranbong Park, expected Mass Dance

on Kim Il Sung Square to mark the holiday occasion

OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

Sat 28th July

 

AM: 10:10 Train departs from Pyongyang for China
PM: Cross border at Sinuiju/Dandong, those visiting Dandong alight here, train continues to Beijing
OVERNIGHT:  On train

 

 

Sun 29th July

 

AM: 08:34AM arrival at Beijing Central Railway Station. End of Tour

PRE-TOUR MEETING: July 23rd (Monday), 4PM, at our office in Beijing

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Flight Beijing-Pyongyang, train Pyongyang-Beijing
2. All meals on the tour except on the train out of DPRK – see below
3. Hotel accommodation
4. All entry fees
5. Two guides and a driver per group
6. All transportation in DPRK
   
   

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE:

1. Optional single room supplement of EUR 40 per night
2. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
3. DPRK visa fee EUR 50
4. EUR 50 surcharge for the train to Beijing or EUR 50 surcharge for the plane to Beijing (or Air China surcharge EUR 120)
5. Tip for the guides (approx EUR 20-25 total)
6. Meals on the train out of DPRK - (bring your own food or eat dinner and lunch in the buffet car approximately EUR 5 per person)
7. Entry tickets for Mass Games and special events if applicable – for example Revolutionary Opera if being staged, or a visit to the funfair
8. The lift up the Juche Tower EUR 5
9. Meals will have a complimentary beer but you will have to pay for extra drinks above those provided. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements then please inform us beforehand
