AM: Bus from office to the Airport
PM: 13:00 Flight JS152 Beijing – Pyongyang (Business Class), arrival in Pyongyang, Meet guides, Arch of Triumph – similar to the French version (but bigger), Arirang MASS GAMES
HOTEL: Potonggang Hotel, Pyongyang

Wed Aug 29th

 

AM: Fountain Park, Mansudae Grand Monument - statue of DPRK President Kim Il Sung, Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum (Korean War Museum) - hear and see the DPRK version of the conflict, War Victory Monuments - sculptures of notable events from the war, lunch at Ok Ryu cold noodle restaurant
PM: Kim Il Sung University to meet students and see recent modernizations, Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, Military Circus performance, Walking Tour of city centre, Pyolmuri Coffee shop, dinner at National Restaurant
HOTEL: Potonggang Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Thurs Aug 30th

 

AM: Kumsusan Memorial Palace - Mausoleum where President Kim Il Sung lies in state, Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery - bronze busts of the Koreans who died fighting the Japanese occupation, Boat cruise along the Taedong river to Mangyongdae, lunch and entertainment on the cruise
PM: Mangyongdae Native House - birthplace of the DPRK founder Kim Il Sung, Mansudae Art Studio - Pyongyang’s centre of artistic excellence, meet artist and see the process of creating statues and paintings, Pyongyang Metro (extended ride to several stations) - the deepest in the world, take a ride with the locals, USS Pueblo - tour the American espionage ship captured in the 1968, meet one of the crew members who captured the ship and hear of their experiences, dinner at Arirang Restaurant
HOTEL: Hyangsan Hotel, Mt. Myohang

 

 

Fri Aug 31st

 

AM: Drive to Kaesong (2.5 hours) - a historical city near the

DMZ which avoided being destroyed in the Korean War, visit the Panmunjom/DMZ boundary between North and South Korea

and the Kaesong Embroidery Institute, Lunch at re-unification traditional restaurant
PM: Local park & pavilion, Return to Pyongyang, Theatrical performance, Juche Tower, Pyongyang Diplomatic Club for evening entertainment and dinner
HOTEL: Potonggang Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Sat Sept 1st

 

AM: 09:00 Flight JS151 Pyongyang – Beijing (Business Class). End of tour.

PRE-TOUR MEETING: August 27th (Monday), 4PM, at our office in Beijing

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Business Class Flight Beijing-Pyongyang-Beijing
2. All meals on the tour
3. Hotel accommodation
4. All entry fees
5. Two guides and a driver per group
6. All transportation in DPRK
   
   

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE:

1. Optional single room supplement of EUR 40 per night
2. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
3. DPRK visa fee EUR 50
4. EUR 50 surcharge for the plane to Beijing
5. Tip for the guides (approx EUR 20-25 total)
6. Entry tickets for Mass Games and special events if applicable – for example Revolutionary Opera if being staged, or a visit to the funfair
7. The lift up the Juche Tower EUR 5
8. Meals will have a complimentary beer but you will have to pay for extra drinks above those provided. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements then please inform us beforehand
