AM: Bus from office to Airport
PM: Flight JS152 Beijing – Pyongyang, 13:00 departure from PEK Beijing International Airport (Terminal 2). Arrival to Pyongyang 16:25. Meet guides who will accompany you during your stay, Arch of Triumph – similar to the French version (but bigger),
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

 

Wed 1st Aug

 

AM: Drive to Kaesong (2,5 hours) - A historical city near the DMZ

which avoided being destroyed in the Korean War, Panmunjom/DMZ boundary between North and South Korea, the Koryo Museum - preserved Confucian museum in the old part of town

PM: Tomb of King Kongmin - Beautiful twin-domed tomb of the 31st King of the Koryo Dynasty and his Mongolian wife, local park and pavilion, return to Pyongyang, Walk in the city along Taedong river, ancient city gates, Paradise micro-brewery & bar
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Thurs 2nd Aug

 

AM: Kumsusan Memorial Palace - Mausoleum where President Kim

Il Sung lies in state, Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery - bronze

busts of the Koreans who died fighting the Japanese occupation, Fountain Park, Mansudae Grand Monument statue of DPRK

PM: Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum(Korean War Museum) - hear and see the DPRK version of the conflict, War

Victory Monuments - sculptures of notable events from the war, Schoolchildren’s Palace tour and performance, drive to Nampo (1.5hrs)
OVERNIGHT: Ryonggang Hot Spa, Nampo

 

 

Fri 3rd Aug

 

AM: West Sea Barrage (8km long dam separating the Taedong river from the West Sea of Korea), Nampo Taekwondo School - see a demostration of the fierce abilities of the students

PM: Chollima Steel Works - New for 2012! Tae'an Heavy Machine

Tool Complex, Tae'an Glass Factory, Return to Pyongyang, Mangyongdae Native House - birthplace of the DPRK founder

Kim Il Sung, Pyongyang Metro (extended ride) - the deepest in

the world, take a ride with the locals, Juche Tower - 150m stone

tower with lookout platform at the top and great panoramic views

of the city, Monument to Party Foundation - commemorates the

50 years of Worker's Party rule, Koryo Medicine Clinic
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Sat 4th Aug

 

AM: 10:10 Train departs from Pyongyang for China
PM: Cross border at Sinuiju/Dandong, those visiting Dandong alight here, train continues to Beijing
OVERNIGHT: On Train

 

 

Sun 5th Aug

 

AM: 08:34 Arrival at Beijing Central Railway Station. End of Tour

VISA FEE: EUR 50

PRE-TOUR MEETING: July 30th (Monday), 4PM, at our office in Beijing

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Flight Beijing-Pyongyang, train Pyongyang-Beijing
2. All meals on the tour except on the train out of DPRK – see below
3. Hotel accommodation
4. All entry fees
5. Two guides and a driver per group
6. All transportation in DPRK
   
   

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE:

1. Optional single room supplement of EUR 40 per night
2. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
3. DPRK visa fee EUR 50
4. EUR 50 surcharge for the train to Beijing or EUR 50 surcharge for the plane to Beijing (or Air China surcharge EUR 120)
5. Tip for the guides (approx EUR 20-25 total)
6. Meals on the train out of DPRK - (bring your own food or eat dinner and lunch in the buffet car approximately EUR 5 per person)
7. Entry tickets for Mass Games and special events if applicable – for example Revolutionary Opera if being staged, or a visit to the funfair
8. The lift up the Juche Tower EUR 5
9. Meals will have a complimentary beer but you will have to pay for extra drinks above those provided. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements then please inform us beforehand
