Tues 5th June

 

AM: Bus from office to the Airport
PM: Departure with Air Koryo flight JS152 Beijing  – Pyongyang from PEK, Terminal 2 at 13:00, arrive in Pyongyang at 16:25. Meet guides who will accompany you during your stay, Arch of Triumph – similar to the French version (but bigger), Fountain Park, Mansudae Grand Monument - statue of President Kim Il Sung
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

Wed 6th June

 

AM: Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum (Korean War Museum) - hear and see the DPRK version of the conflict (Korean

War Museum) War victory Monuments, Mangyongdae Native House (birthplace of Kim Il Sung) Mangyongdae Art Studio tour - Pyongyang’s centre of artistic excellence Pyongyang Metro

(extended ride) - the deepest in the world, take a ride with the locals
PM: USS Pueblo - tour the American espionage ship captured in the 1968, Juche Tower - 150m stone
tower with lookout platform at the top and great panoramic views of the city, Monument to Party Foundation - commemorates the 50 years of Workers' Party rule , Schoolchildren’s Palace tour and performance, Paradise micro-brewery & bar
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Thurs 7th June

 

AM: Kumsusan Memorial Palace- Mausoleum where President

Kim Il Sunglies in state, Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery - bronze busts of the Koreans who died fighting the Japanese occupation, Foreign Language Bookshop, Kim Il Sung Square - Pyongyang’s largest square in the heart of the city,  To Mt. Ryonggak for picnic lunch
PM: Brief hike in the mountain, 3 Revolutions Exhibition,

Golden Lane Bowling Centre  - where Pyongyangers go for their

ten-pin fix, also has some early 90s arcade games,

Drive to Kaesong
OVERNIGHT: Minsok Hotel, Kaesong

 

 

Fri 8th June

 

AM: Panmunjom/DMZ (the demarcation line between North

and South Korea), Koryo Museum (relics of the ancient city),

Local park and pavilions
PM: Concrete Wall, Return to Pyongyang, Walk in the city along Taedong river, old city gates, Kaeson Youth Funfair (best evening entertainment in the city!)
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Sat 9th June

 

AM: 10:10 Train departs from Pyongyang for China
PM: Cross border at Sinuiju/Dandong, those visiting Dandong

alight here, train continues to Beijing
OVERNIGHT: On train

 

 

Sun 10th June

 

AM: 08:34 Arrival at Beijing Central Railway Station. End of Tour

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Flight Beijing-Pyongyang, train Pyongyang-Beijing
2. All meals on the tour except on the train out of DPRK – see below
3. Hotel accommodation
4. All entry fees
5. Two guides and a driver per group
6. All transportation in DPRK
   
   

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE:

1. Optional single room supplement of EUR 40 per night
2. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
3. DPRK visa fee CNY 500
4. EUR 50 surcharge for the train to Beijing or EUR 50 surcharge for the plane to Beijing (or Air China surcharge EUR 120)
5. Tip for the guides (approx EUR 20-25 total)
6. Meals on the train out of DPRK - (bring your own food or eat dinner and lunch in the buffet car approximately EUR 5 per person)
7. Entry tickets for Mass Games and special events if applicable – for example Revolutionary Opera if being staged, or a visit to the funfair
8. The lift up the Juche Tower EUR 5
9. Meals will have a complimentary beer but you will have to pay for extra drinks above those provided. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements then please inform us beforehand
