Sat 28th April

 

AM: Bus from office to the Airport
PM: Departure with Air Koryo flight JS152 Beijing  – Pyongyang

from PEK, Terminal 2 at 13:00 , arrive in Pyongyang at 16:25.

Meet guides who will accompany you during your stay,

Sun 29th April

 

AM: Kumsusan Memorial Palace- Mausoleum where President

Kim Il Sung lies in state, Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery - bronzebusts of the Koreans who died fighting the Japanese

occupation, Drive to Mt. Ryonggak for scenic views and picnic lunch
PM: Mangyongdae Native House (birthplace of Kim Il Sung), Pyongyang  Metro (extended ride on the world’s deepest underground system), Kim Il Sung Square - Pyongyang’s largest square in the heart of the city, Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, drive to Nampo (major port city on the West coast of the DPRK), West Sea Barrage (8km long land reclamation project), to Hot Spa resort

Mon 30th April 

 

AM: Nampo Taekwondo School - see a demostration of the fierce abilities of the students, Chollima Steel Works - New for 2012! Tae'an Heavy Machine Tool Complex, Tae'an Glass Factory
PM: Return to Pyongyang, Pyongyang Film Studio, Museum of Metro Construction, Walking in the city along Taedong river
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Tues 1st  May

AM: DPRK HOLIDAY: May Day – Fountain Park, Mansudae Grand

Monument (Giant Statue of President Kim IlSung), May Day festival

in Taesongsan Park. Picnic lunch in the park
PM: Moranbong Park, Paradise Micro-Brewery, Golden Lane Bowling

Centre  - where Pyongyangers go for their ten-pin fix, also has some

early 90s arcade games, Expected MASS DANCE on Kim Il Sung Square
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Wed 2nd May
AM: Drive to Kaesong (2.5 hours) - A historical city near the DMZ

which avoided being destroyed in the Korean War, visit the Panmunjom/DMZ boundary between North and South Korea and

the Koryo Museum - preserved Confucian museum in the old

part of town, local park & pavilion
PM: Concrete Wall, Pakyon waterfalls, walking in old Kaesong City
OVERNIGHT: Minsok Hotel, Kaesong

 

 

Thurs 3rd May
AM: Return to Pyongyang, Juche Tower (panoramic views of Pyongyang from 150m up), Monument to Party Foundation - commemorates the 50 years of Workers' Party rule
PM: USS Pueblo - tour the American espionage ship captured in the 1968, Schoolchildren’s Palace tour and performance, Paradise micro-brewery & bar
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Fri 4th May
AM: Foreign Language Bookshop, Mansudae Art Studio (where posters, statues, and propaganda are produced), Korean Revolution Museum
PM: Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum (Korean War Museum), War Victory Monuments, Local Senior Middle School, Kaeson Youth Funfair (best evening entertainment in the city!)
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Sat 5th May

 

AM: 10:10 Train departs from Pyongyang for China
PM: Cross border at Sinuiju/Dandong, those visiting Dandong alight here, train continues to Beijing
OVERNIGHT: On train

 

 

Sun 6th May

 

AM: 08:34 Arrival at Beijing Central Railway Station. End of Tour

TOUR COST: EUR 1690

PRE-TOUR MEETING: April 27th (Friday), 4PM, at our office in Beijing

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Flight Beijing-Pyongyang, train Pyongyang-Beijing
2. All meals on the tour except on the train out of DPRK – see below
3. Hotel accommodation
4. All entry fees
5. Two guides and a driver per group
6. All transportation in DPRK
   
   

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE:

1. Optional single room supplement of EUR 40 per night
2. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
3. DPRK visa fee CNY 500
4. EUR 50 surcharge for the train to Beijing or EUR 50 surcharge for the plane to Beijing (or Air China surcharge EUR 120)
5. Tip for the guides (approx EUR 20-25 total)
6. Meals on the train out of DPRK - (bring your own food or eat dinner and lunch in the buffet car approximately EUR 5 per person)
7. Entry tickets for Mass Games and special events if applicable – for example Revolutionary Opera if being staged, or a visit to the funfair
8. The lift up the Juche Tower EUR 5
9. Meals will have a complimentary beer but you will have to pay for extra drinks above those provided. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements then please inform us beforehand
