PM: Departure with Air Koryo flight JS152 Beijing  – Pyongyang from PEK, Terminal 2 at 13:00 , arrive in Pyongyang at 16:25. Meet guides who will accompany you during your stay, Arch of Triumph – similar to the French version (but bigger)

Wed 15th February

 

AM: Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum(Korean

War Museum) - hear and see the DPRK version of the

conflict, War Victory Monuments - sculptures of notable

events from the war, Monument to Party Foundation -

commemorates the 50 years of Workers' Party rule
PM: Mangyongdae Native House - birthplace of the DPRK

founder Kim Il Sung, Pyongyang Metro (extended ride)

- the deepest in the world, take a ride with the locals,

Museum of Metro Construction (shows the efforts of the

builders of the Pyongyang Metro under the guidance of

President Kim Il Sung), Schoolchildren’s Palace tour

and performance

PM: Return to Pyongyang via Ryongmun Caves,

Mangyongdae Art Studio tour - Pyongyang’s centre

of artistic excellence

Sat 18th February

 

AM: Fountain Park, Juche Tower - 150m stone

tower with lookout platform at the top and great panoramic

views of the city Walk in the city centre along Taedong Riverbank
PM: Drive to Kaesong (2.5 hours) - a historical city near the DMZ which avoided being destroyed in the Korean War, Local park & Pavilions, Tomb of King Kongmin - beautiful twin-domed tomb of the 31st King of the Koryo Dynasty and his Mongolian wife, Walk in the old city
OVERNIGHT: Minsok Hotel, Kaesong

 

 

Sun 19th February

 

AM: Panmunjom/DMZ boundary between North and South Korea Return to Pyongyang, Pyongyang Film Studios,
PM: Moranbong Park - where the people of Pyongyang go to enjoy their holiday, USS Pueblo - tour the American

espionage ship captured in the 1968, Golden Lane Bowling Centre  - where Pyongyangers go for their ten-pin fix, also has some early 90s arcade games, Paradise Department Store & Micro-Brewery

Mon 20th February

 

AM: 10:10 Train departs from Pyongyang for China
PM: Cross border at Sinuiju/Dandong, those visiting Dandong alight here, train continues to Beijing

AM: 08:34 Arrival at Beijing Central Railway Station. End of Tour

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Flight Beijing-Pyongyang, train Pyongyang-Beijing
2. All meals on the tour except on the train out of DPRK – see below
3. Hotel accommodation
4. All entry fees
5. Two guides and a driver per group
6. All transportation in DPRK
   
   

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE:

1. Optional single room supplement of EUR 40 per night
2. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
3. DPRK visa fee CNY 500
4. EUR 50 surcharge for the train to Beijing or EUR 50 surcharge for the plane to Beijing (or Air China surcharge EUR 120)
5. Tip for the guides (approx EUR 20-25 total)
6. Meals on the train out of DPRK - (bring your own food or eat dinner and lunch in the buffet car approximately EUR 5 per person)
7. Entry tickets for Mass Games and special events if applicable – for example Revolutionary Opera if being staged, or a visit to the funfair
8. The lift up the Juche Tower EUR 5
9. Meals will have a complimentary beer but you will have to pay for extra drinks above those provided. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements then please inform us beforehand
