Sat 23th Oct

AM: Bus from Office to the airport

PM: Flight JS252 from Beijing to Pyongyang, 13:00 departure, arrive Pyongyang 15:25, Arch of Triumph - Fountain Park - Mansudae Grand Monument – Statue of President Kim Il Sung. ARIRANG MASS GAMES

OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Sun 24th Oct

AM: Kumsusan Memorial Palace – Mausoleum of President Kim Il Sung – where the ‘Great Leader’ lies in state,  Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery – where DPRK’s anti-Japanese heroes are buried on a hillside – Foreign Languages bookshop

PM: Juche Tower (170m high stone monument dedicated to the country’s guiding philosophy, Pyongyang Metro – an extended ride on the world’s deepest subway system, Mangyongdae Native House – the birthplace of Kim Il Sung, Golden Lane Bowling Centre – see how the locals spend their leisure time, Local funfair – newly reopened and hugely popular, a great place for people watching and using the rides alongside the citizenry 

OVERNIGHT:Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

Mon 25th Oct

AM: Drive to Kaesong (2hrs), Panmunjom/DMZ – where North faces South in the ‘truce village’, Kaesong Koryo Museum – shows the history of this ancient and significant city, local park with president’s statue – affords great views over the only old town in the whole country not destroyed in the Korean War

PM: Return to Pyongyang, Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum – see the DPRK version of this crucial confilict, War Victory Monuments, Paradise department store and micro-brewery
OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo Hotel, Pyongyang

 

 

Tues 26th Oct

 

AM: Transfer to airport for 09:00 JS251 flight to Beijing, arrival at 09:30. End of tour

TOUR COST: EUR 1190

VISA FEE: CNY 400 (to be paid at the pre-tour meeting)

PRE-TOUR MEETING: October 22nd 4PM, at our office in Beijing

TOUR FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Flight Beijing-Pyongyang, train Pyongyang-Beijing
2. All meals on the tour except on the train out of DPRK – see below
3. Hotel accommodation
4. All entry fees
5. Two guides and a driver per group
6. All transportation in DPRK
   
   

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE:

1. Optional single room supplement of EUR 40 per night
2. Spending money for drinks and souvenirs
3. DPRK visa fee CNY 400
4. EUR 50 surcharge for the train to Beijing
5. EUR 50 surcharge for the plane to Beijing (or Air China surcharge EUR 120)
6. Tip for the guides (approx EUR 20-25 total)
7. Meals on the train out of DPRK - (bring your own food or eat dinner and lunch in the buffet car approximately EUR 5 per person)
8. Entry tickets for Mass Games and special events if applicable – for example Revolutionary Opera if being staged, or a visit to the funfair
9. The lift up the Juche Tower EUR 5
10. Meals will have a complimentary beer but you will have to pay for extra drinks above those provided. If you are vegetarian or have special dietary requirements then please inform us beforehand
